SHAPING UP WITH TWO VINTAGE BLUE LAMPS!

Steven Sclaroff - Pair of Turquoise Craquelure Glazed Porcelain Table Lamps - $1950 for the pair (1960s. American. 31" high. Bold pair of jar-shaped porcelain lamps, mounted on black-lacquered wood bases.)(above)

I like these blue porcelain jar lamps. I like angular silhouette. Most ceramic and porcelain jar lamps have a curvy shape to them. I like the straight lines on these. Love that they are vintage and love that they are a lovely almost turquoise blue too! Oooh these might go well in my living room. Hmmmm.....

What do you think of these lamps?

Hope you have a nice Thursday! I can't believe February is almost over!!!

xoxo

Love them! I have the grooviest and tallest turquoise lamp from the 50's in my bedroom. So I am a huge fan.

Oh they are just lovely -- you must have them for your living room immediately! One of my favorite lamp stores has filed for bankruptcy, and their entire stock is languishing, glowing faintly, visible through the locked glass doors and windows. The dusty glass might or might not have several of my nose prints -- I admit nothing.

Very elegant, with exquisite glazing, but I'm not certain I like the shades. The stark white seems to 'fight' the base. Any sugestions?

I'd buy them in a heartbeat! But I would try a black shade lined in gold or tortoise - a tad more chic! Are these from 1st Dibs? Always the best stuff on there!
