A bright blue sofa and a lovely stain glass widow add pops of color to a Victorian cottage's main living area (above)
This is the home of Erin McLaughlin, editor of Style at Home. An adorable Victorian small cottage in shades of pale grey and a bit of blue here and there. Love it. Very soothing, simple and stylish.
I like light grey...to me it allows one to add a dash of color in a small space without closing in the dimensions of the interior.
Excellent little house I think!
Lovely greyish blue horse paintings grace the home's small foyer. (above)
A space saving banquet style love seat, Bertoia chairs, a mid-century modern looking dining table, a simple glass pendant light, and a Madeline Weinrib rug all come together to make a great small dining area. (above)
A transom in the t.v. room sheds bright light into the home's galley kitchen (above)
Simple and serene bedroom is painted in a grey from Farrow and Ball. (above)
What do you think of this small home? I like it because I think this is a chic look that is easy to achieve (hmmm....might have to do a DESIGNER ROOM RECREATE on one of these rooms...hmmm....).
Hope you have a great Monday! Whoa is me...I have to go to a work party tonight...whoa is me...good food, interesting people watching, a little champagne perhaps...whoa is me...life is rough these days... :-)!
Have got to run to get dressed for work!

I really like the muted gray and blue - you can really dial it up a punch of color or keep it fresh and simple as they have done.
ReplyDeleteOh and love the stained glass window - so beautiful!

Looks like a very peaceful place to live.....smiles.
ReplyDeleteI love that kitchen! Coco and fellow bloggers: I need a little colour advice. I'm trying to pick the colour of a new coat stand for my scarves. Please stop by my monday blog post and help me decide! Mwah! Gracias!
ReplyDeleteI didn't realize a color combination like this would come out this great! And it gives me more freedom to choose my own color for the decors and furnishings.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great giveaway! I tried to link to it on FB and it wasn't working. So... here I am! If I can be entered this way.... I'd be so happy! Love the cool tones of this home... I am designing a family room with the same colors this week! :)

Wow, that place looks absolutely amazing! Someone's got a really good style. The kitchen is my favorite, I think (it is too difficult to decide). Oh, and I never really realized how good the combination of blue and grey is. Nice.
