A NEW YORK BROWNSTONE GETS A TOTAL REVAMP FROM THE BROOKLYN HOME COMPANY!

Living room with Greek key wallpaper, decorative moldings and a bright rug in Brookyln
Greek key wallpaper is applied inside decorative moldings in the front parlor of a renovated brownstone in the Park Slope area of Brooklyn.(above)

Loving this 4-story redesigned and renovated historic brownstone in Brooklyn. Yet another fabulous design creation from The Brooklyn Home Company.

I like the fact that the design takes advantage of everything old in the house but adds a new twist to all of the fantastic architectural detail throughout.

Have some friends of friends who live in Brooklyn and who also have a fabulous renovated brownstone...I may have to "impose" and ask if I can take some pictures there next time I am in New York...just might...

Well for now, here is this great brownstone!

Dining room with decorative mirrors, Greek key wallpaper, slipcovered chairs and a bright yellow Eames chair
A bright yellow molded plastic Eames chair plays host to the home's dining area that also features decorative mirrors, slipcovered dining chairs all around a rectangular dining table. (above)

The custom kitchen features a large traditional fireplace with marble surround and painted mantel, tall built-in pantry cabinets in soft black, solid wood Sapele countertop and a red rubber dipped chandelier. (above)

Fuchsia dressing room/lounge with a glass chandelier, custom cabinets and refinished wood floor
A fuchsia dressing room/lounge with a glass chandelier separates the master suite and the master bathroom. Custom walnut cabinets and shelves were built for storage and the original wood flooring was salvaged and refinished in a dark ebony color. (above)

Home office with green and white Kell Wearstler Imperial Trellis wallpaper and a green Parsons desk
The iconic green and white Kelly Wearstler Imperial Trellis wallpaper is used in the study/home office. A glossy Parsons desk sits in front of a tall window.

Children's room with a large map of the world and brown and orange wicker storage baskets
A large wall map of the world acts as art in the children's playroom while wicker storage baskets in brown and orange keep toys organized.(above)

Sweet dreams in the nursery...detail of the baby's cute yellow and navy bedding. (above)

What room is your favorite?

Again, have to go get ready for work and make it in for an early morning meeting. Oh boy. Running now!

  7. All of those rooms are beautiful but where/how do I find the moldings like in the 4th picture. Talk about a beautiful detail. I attempted googling for "cake molding" like you called, but it just results in baking molds. Not quite the same haha.

  13. ADORE the dressing room. If this were my dressing room, I would never leave it. I would have my girlfriends over for martini parties or afternoon tea in that room.

  15. That's my house! So funny, my mom ran across your blog and couldn't believe that it was our Brownstone! Funny too, my nickname is also Coco. Brooklyn Home Company did an AMAZING job on our renovations, love everything about it :)

  16. I love the Brownstone! The way that they blended the modern elements with softer, more cottage components (such as the slipcovered chairs) make it eclectic and interesting. I also adore Kelly Wearstler's trellis wallpaper... very fresh!

  18. I am wondering where you purchased the world map decal. I thought I found it online once, but now I can't find it. I would love to buy one.

  19. I LOVE the details in the brown staircase, I am dying to know how it was done? Was it free handed? How did you do it?
    Thanks, Vanessa
