WEEKEND PHOTO!
A wonderful corridor...a glass enclosed walkway. I don't know why I find corridors and doorways so intriguing. Maybe there is some mystery to them...both implying movement into a new space...an unknown space. Something optimistic about corridors and doorways too...moving into a new space...new beginnings and the like...maybe this is a stretch.
I love this glass corridor...leading into a stone main house. Love the pitch of the ceiling. And of course love the light. Charming really. Truly bringing the outdoors in...
Something about this photos says fall to me too. I love fall.
Am I kooky to like hallways and doorways? Any architectural detail that makes you always stop?
Anyhoooo....am off to work this Sunday...lots to do.
Happy Sunday!

Gorgeous photo!!! The perspective really draws you into this home.Kind of similar to Alice and the rabbit hole, corridors can make you want to fall into the next space beyond your line of vision, pulling you towards the mystery within.
I agree and I think they are the architect's secret weapon. There is something wonderfully old-worldish about the rows of curving arches at many universities and colleges. We could use more of this style in and around our homes.
I always focus on the structural details as well. I get fascinated by hallways since there can be such great variety. I save pictures of them and use them later as inspiration. So no, I don't think you're kooky at all, unless that makes us both kooky! :)

I love them too and what a cool one this is! I'd love to be standing in there when rain - or even better, snow - was falling!
