COLOR WATCH: GRASS GREEN!

I like the surprising use of a grass green rug in this light bright living room above. The rug is such a cheerful green.  Why not add a little of this wheatgrass green to your home for fall?

Jonathan Adler - Green Nixon Porcelain Dinnerware - $50 (4 piece place setting)(above)

Worlds Away - Green Winter Harbour Coffee Table (above)

Barneys New York - Venini Arillo Vase - $1570 (Limited edition glass blown vase)(above)

Gracious Style - Bungalow 5 Green Charlotte Mirror - $689 (above)

Pieces - Green Moroccan Pouf - $295 (above)

Do you like this shade of green?  Where might you use in your home?  If not, what shade of green do you like?

Happy Friday!

P.S.  We just finished shipping a huge number of  COCOCOZY pillows and throws out this week to stores around the country!  Fab assistant KS (who loves the color pink) has done a great job.  COCOCOZY textiles will now be in stores in Los Angeles, New York, Seattle, Houston, Atlanta, Malibu, Nantucket, Palm Beach, Palm Beach Gardens, Cape Cod, Chattanooga and several other cities across the country and in Toronto, Canada too! I'll do a post on the most popular items and where you can get them next week or the week after!  Now that we have our fall order shipment almost 75% complete, I've just got to start figuring out what is new for Spring/Summer 2012 in the collection.  Have some fun ideas brewing.

P.P.S.  We just sent off more pillows to a major magazine who requested some items for possible feature in a few months.  We'll keep you posted on that.  We also just made custom drapery panels for a very famous "celebrity" here in Los Angeles...she custom ordered the COCOCOZY Logo drapery in grey with a pinch pleat and double wide.  They look fantastic!  I want them for my house!!!

COASTAL LIVING WITH A COCOCOZY THROW - SHOW HOUSE DECORATING!

A chic window seat vignette with an ocean view in the Coastal Living Magazine showhouse master bedroom includes a COCOCOZY Logo Throw! (above)
Learned yesterday through your comments (from reader "She's going to the dogs") that a COCOCOZY throw made an appearance in Coastal Living magazine's October 2011 issue!  The room is in a Coastal Living's 2011 Ultimate Beach House showhouse.  The master bedroom was done by fab Atlanta designer Phoebe Howard.

Back in July, we received a request for a throw through our showroom in Atlanta, Christian Mosso Associates.  We immediately sent in a throw for possible use in the show house...and tah dah a few months later here's the throw in the magazine on page 42.  So exciting to see a COCOCOZY throw in action.  It is actually one of my favorites and one of the most popular colors...we can't keep them on the shelves!

The COCOCOZY throw blends so well in this beachy master bedroom sitting area. (above)

Love the sea grass aqua wallpaper and the nautical prints on the wall behind the large wood bed in the master bedroom suite. (above)

COCOCOZY Logo Throw in Light Blue (above and below)

You should check out this month's Coastal Living to see pictures of the rest of the show house in Norfolk Virginia.  If you want to see the house in person, apparently it is open to the public through November 27th.
Thank you Phoebe Howard for using a COCOCOZY throw!

Happy Wednesday!

TWIN ROOM BED & HEADBOARD IDEAS!

Striped walls in shades of blue and yellow coordinate with simple blue upholstered headbaords with a yellow floral crown and drape that match  the pleated bedskirts in a cute twin room. (above)

So...way back in August, I had dinner with good friend JO who was visiting from San Francisco with her family (husband TO and two cute daughters). JO and family get a house in Venice Beach every summer for about a month and leave the foggy San Francisco August behind. So it is my thrill that it gets foggy in SF in August because every year I see JO here in Los Angeles! JO and I love talking about design.  She has a stunning place in San Francisco. So when we were out to dinner at Osteria Mozza she was telling me she just had some custom headboards made for the girls' rooms. She said she had gone on COCOCOZY a few times to find ideas...and that prompted me to think...what a good post idea.

Now some two months later...I am finally actually executing said "good post idea". Hmmm...so much for planning and executing...right? Note to self: get a posting schedule together instead of just posting on the fly as you have for the past 3 years (some bloggers are so organized and plan out posts weeks in advance...I plan out posts when I post...makes for a harrowing situation almost every day...knots in my stomach, racking my brain for post ideas and inspiration, the same scene happens every day...uh oh...my OSS has kicked in...(over sharing syndrome)...you don't want to know how the posts get here kind of like you don't want to know how sausage is made...you just want to enjoy and be entertained as you should be...I know...okay...okay...I'll stop blabbing...but maybe if I talk about it...I'll stop doing it...maybe if I expose my inability to plan posts, I will start planning posts...maybe? Oy va voy. I'll stop...LOL!)

Anyhoooooo...here are some wonderful twin rooms and twin room bed ideas. I like twin rooms because they are good kids rooms (boys or girls) or can make for lovely guest rooms. Here we go...

Clean and crisp...these upholstered beds with wing back headboards make for a smart modern design in a room from Bear Hill Interiors. (above)!

Good old fashioned twin iron beds with plaid bedding in a preppy beachy looking guest room. (above)

Toile everywhere!  Green toile walls match a the green toile upholstered french twin beds in a statement classic bedroom. (above)

Keeping it simple with white upholstered Queen Anne style headboards. (above)

White notched wood twin beds make for a crisp clean nautical bedroom. (above)

Super tall upholstered headboards help balance the scale of the twin beds in this bedroom. (above)

Simple brown headboards with bold off white trim compliment the graphic patterns on the rug in this twin room - also love the crisp white bedding!  (above)
Which of these twin rooms do you like best?  Any other ideas that you've seen or used in a twin room that you want to share?  Please comment below!

Happy Tuesday!

DESIGN GUIDE: MY OWN BEHIND THE SCENES OF THE EMMY AWARDS!

Yooohooo...hello! I know I have been blabbing so much about the Emmy Awards over the last few weeks. I went to the show and attended a swank party after but I've been acting like it is the ONLY thing that is happening in the world. I know there have been other things more important going on but in my tiny myopic world...this was it. So I wanted to share it all with you (a week later...clearly on the late freight...but what is a busy girl to do?...don't answer that...I can figure you will say something like "a girl should do things in a timely manner...that's what girl is supposed to do"...anyhoooooooooooo...)

I risked it all to bring you a glimpse of Hollywood glamour from my point of view (I like the dramatic sound of "risked it all"...really I just risked a small point and shoot camera and my dignity while taking a million photos around a bunch Hollywood insider types...).  Just a normal girl (not a starlet at all...am the star of my own life and that is it...)...attending a glam Hollywood event.  Some of you may find this interesting...there maybe a whole bunch of you who find it not so interesting...nonetheless, I am bringing you these images in hopes that you get a little entertainment out of my experience on the red carpet.

So without further ado (is that how you spell that? Ruth?), I bring you today's DESIGN GUIDE...hope you enjoy!

WEEKEND PHOTO!

A wonderful corridor...a glass enclosed walkway. I don't know why I find corridors and doorways so intriguing. Maybe there is some mystery to them...both implying movement into a new space...an unknown space. Something optimistic about corridors and doorways too...moving into a new space...new beginnings and the like...maybe this is a stretch.

I love this glass corridor...leading into a stone main house. Love the pitch of the ceiling.  And of course love the light.  Charming really.  Truly bringing the outdoors in...

Something about this photos says fall to me too. I love fall.

Am I kooky to like hallways and doorways? Any architectural detail that makes you always stop?

Anyhoooo....am off to work this Sunday...lots to do.

Happy Sunday!

THIS OR THAT: WOOD PANELED ROOMS!

Room #1 - Light colored wood paneling conceals a television in a modern family room.(above)
So when I used to think of wood paneled rooms...I thought of a stodgy library in an English country side home.  A dark place with lots of books and leather club chairs.  This wood paneled room that I imagined was also a place where men smoked cigars, took care of the estate's affairs and held private manly meetings.

Well now, in the real world and today, I think of wood paneled rooms very differently.  Love the modern take on using wood.  I like it.  Wood can warm up a room but the room doesn't have to be dark, stodgy, or cigar smoke filled at all.

Here are 5 wood paneled rooms.  I want to know if any of these appeal to you!

Room #2 - A dining room in a European ski chalet with rustic wood boards on the walls. (above)

Room #3 - A sleek eclectic den with large wood panels applied to walls. (above)

Room #4 - Knotty light colored wood paneled walls in a cozy bedroom. (above)

Room #5 - Grey stained wood walls in a dining room area with a built in banquet.  (above)
So which one of these wood rooms appeals to you the most?  I think I like #1, #2, #3 the most in that order.  I want to hear what you think.  Do you even like the idea of a wood paneled room?  Do you have one in your house...if so, what is it like?

Happy Friday!

RIGHT LIGHT - SUPER SUN SOAKED SPACES! (and a little bit about Katy Perry!)

Have I mentioned before that I absolutely love Lonny Magazine (the web shelter magazine created by Michelle Adams and Patrick Cline)?  Have been running around over the last week...falling out of Emmy dresses and the like (see previous post)...so I didn't get a chance to do a full study of the new 2nd anniversary Lonny issue until now.  Love it!

Lots of light bright sun drenched rooms and spaces.  Chic, well styled, smart and light.   Here are a few of my favorite spaces from the latest Lonny Magazine!

Sun streams through a french door into this bedroom with a black chalkboard headboard - genius! (above)

Which of these is your favorite?  I'm loving the bench on the veranda and the chalkboard headboard bedroom.

What is the lightest brightest sun filled room in your home?

Happy Thursday!

P.S.  A SUPER DUPER big thank you to mega pop star Katy Perry for mentioning COCOCOZY as her favorite design blog in this month's InStyle magazine article that just came out yesterday!!!!  I can't believe it!  I'm totally freaked out that Katy Perry reads COCOCOZY and all of my random musings on things.  I wonder if I need to start being more serious and less scatter brained.  Oh dear...nervous.  Calm. Calm. Breathe.

P.P.S. When friend Melissa Maffei from children's store tottini in Seattle tweeted something yesterday about Katy Perry, In Style and COCOCOZY, I didn't have a clue what she was talking about.  I thought what a nice combo of names to put in a tweet but I don't know why they are all in a tweet together...so I literally tweeted back something like "Help me understand what is going on here".  Then Melissa @tottini tweeted the following:  "New InStyle mag came out yesterday, Katy Perry said you were a fav blog to watch! Awesome mention, congrats!".  I then almost fell out of my chair...hung up on the work person I was talking to...grabbed my purse (a huge oversized Gucci tote that weighs about 50lbs because it is over loaded with who knows what of miscellaneous items that I must bring with me to work each day that are not at all needed but I feel I must bring to work...so just to clarify...when I grabbed my purse, I almost fell over again because it is so heavy) and ran out of the office to buy the InStyle.  When I arrived at the newsstand I started taking random photos of the magazine to email to my sister and friends!  My dear friend Aline photoshopped the Katy Perry COCOCOZY mention into a beautiful little montage and posted it on Facebook.  Oh what a beautiful day!

My friend Aline photo shopped the Katy Perry quote and InStyle magazine cover! (above)

P.P.P.S.  Uh oh...just got freaked out again...that Katy Perry is reading the blog.  She is a total trendsetter (Katy has 10 million followers on Katy Perry Twitter if you can believe and 35 million followers on her Facebook page...I am now one of them). Hmmm...maybe I need to be more interesting...more fantastic...more fabulous...more "editorial" (whatever that means)...more musical (don't think any of you would want me to be musical so strike this one).  I think she seems really cool...but now I'm nervous. Oy va voy.  I know.  I can't help it.  Maybe the article was written months ago and she's moved onto another fave blog...and then I can just continue to blabber like I am just talking to myself and few thousand of my closest friends like I do every day.  LOL!

P.P.P.P.S.  I think I need to start another blog called P.S. because my P.S.s have gotten so out of control lately.  For the first time ever, I've added a photo into the P.S. section.  Problem is...after I write each post, I have a million other things to say that are not relevant to the post at hand...so I've been liberally and clearly misusing P.S.  This picture addition is a clear overstepping...but I couldn't help myself!!!

P.P.P.P.P.S.  Also, thank you to Emily Ruddo of Armonia Decors for featuring a COCOCOZY Stripe throw in the brand new Toujours magazine.  Toujour is a new online magazine focused on art and design.  Thank you Emily!

P.P.P.P.P.P.S.  Back to the Katy Perry thing...if you are reading Katy...thank you again!  xo

BEFORE & AFTER: HALLWAY BOOKSHELF BRIGHTENED IN A FAB MICRO MAKEVOER!

JLF's lovely hallway library is sleek, light and bright. (above)

So my dear friend JLF sent in photos for today's post...a fabulous micro makeover she did on her hallway bookshelf.

(Aside: Micro makeovers are those little makeovers that we do in our homes that make a big difference.)

When JLF first moved into her darling West Hollywood home a few years back, one of her first projects was finding a place for her beloved books. There was a long hallway between a sitting room and her master suite where the walls were unused. She decided to put her substantial collection of books including ones written by her favorite authors Par Conroy, Wally Lamb, Amy Tan, Philip Roth and Jane Green. She decided on open shelving that coordinated with the existing honey colored wood floors in the house.

Well a few years later, JLF had the floors redone and wanted to brighten up her booky hallway...so she simply changed out her old shelves with bright white Elfa shelves she purchased at the Container Store.

Tah dah...here is the before and after of JLF's fantastic hallway bookshelf makeover.

This little change made all of the difference in the space...brightening up the hallway, showcasing her collection in the best light and literally opening up the space.

So I guess the design tip here could be...if you are using open shelving and you want to create a feeling of more space, match the shelving to your wall color so the look is visually seamless.

Before: JLF used honey colored open shelving to create a hallway library - the space was functional.  (above)

After: JLF replaced the darker wood colored shelves with sleek white shelving to make her hall library a chic and functional space. (above)

What do you think of this hallway bookshelf makeover? Have you transformed a hallway into a functional space?

Thank you JLF for these wonderful photos. I love what you've done here. Stylish, well designed and quite chic in my view!

Happy Wednesday!

AND THE EMMY DRESS WINNER IS...!

First off I want to thank you all for the amazing comments giving me advice over the weekend on what I should wear to the Emmys. I read every single comment! So much good fashion advice. I feel so lucky...like I had thousands of girlfriends here with me helping me to decide.

So as you know the fashion debate had to do with whether I should wear a one shoulder Carlos Miele I bought in Paris or a more subdued black Badgley Mischka gown I've had for years to the 63rd annual Emmy Awards show and parties.
Most of you overwhelmingly voted for the Carlos Miele. It was not my first choice but you made so many compelling arguments for it, that I actually decided to follow your advice and wear the dress.

On Sunday, at just after 2p, I put on the Carlos Miele and then I was going to head out of my hotel room to meet our group for our limo ride over to the Emmy Awards. The dress fit. It looked great. I was facing my fashion fears, following your sage advice, and trying something new. As I opened the hotel room door, I felt a rush of air at my side and I thought...that's strange...where's that air coming from and why is this dress so loose.

Well my luck had it that just as I was running out of the door, all dressed up with somewhere interesting to go, I of all things was having a major wardrobe malfunction!

I looked down and the long zipper up the side of the dress had broken and was wide open. I know...I know...unbelievable. It just so happens, a friend's daughter who was attending the awards show too(lucky girl) had stopped by my room to check out my dress options and to get a little wardrobe help herself and as we were running out of the door this zipper thing happened!

I tried to unzip the dress but the zipper was caught at the top and split wide open down the side. I tugged and pulled and realized I was stuck in a fashion nightmare...stuck in a sparkling one should dress with the side split open...moments before my limousine ride was leaving for the Emmy Awards.

Oy.

That is when I screamed, "I'm stuck! I'm stuck in this dress!" I started to pant and perspire and panic frankly. The 15 year old girl ran over and started tugging on the zipper and she couldn't get it off either. She kind of looked at me the way a 15 year old with wide eyed disbelief thinking I'm sure, "Uh oh, she's in trouble". That is when the 15 year old figured out desperate times would call for desperate measures...and she said, "I know. The scissors."

There...that's what all my fretting and planning had come down to...a pair of scissors, a new dress and a ticking time clock...

I bravely said "Do it"...and with a tug and a pull and the loudest snip I've ever heard...I was literally cut out of my sparkling Carlos Miele dress.

Yup.

So, I must say, I did feel quite unlucky and lucky at the same time...because there was the Badgley Mischka, still on its hanger and ready for business.

With not a moment to spare and with the Carlos Miele in a heap on the floor, I jumped into the Badgley Mischka and ran out of the door.

There you have it...there is a life lesson somewhere here in this Emmy dress story I think...

Could the lesson be..."Don't put all of your eggs in one basket"...or "Be resourceful"...or "The only thing you can count on in life is change"...or "Never say never"...or "The best laid plans of mice and men often go awry..."...

I don't know what the lesson was...all I know is that when faced with this little non-dilemma dilemma, there was no time to think, action was needed quickly and I was forced deal with the situation and move on...

So the default winner was...the Badgley Mischka...in this case the runner up did win...so maybe this is a story about runner ups and coming in second? Something like you never know when the winner will not be able to perform his/her duties and when you might have to step up to the plate and fill in!

Anyhoooo...the bottom line is I wore the Badgley Mischka after all.

I again thank you so much for your help. You are so awesome and sweet to weigh in! Your comments were amazing. I appreciate the kind support!

Happy Wednesday.

P.S. Didn't have time to pull together a video design guide.  I will do one over the weekend taking you inside the Emmys and all of the parties!  You can see it how I saw it...walking down the red carpet and all!  If you are interested even...

P.P.S.  The Emmys was so much fun this year! Can't wait to share a few details with you.

LOGICAL LIVING - PRECISELY DESIGNED LIVING ROOMS!

I like these two living rooms from Atlanta based design firm The Design Atelier. Something so neat and orderly and precise about the design.
These rooms are both on the traditional side of design but have a bit I like the lightness, the use of blue and the symmetry in both.

I love the plaid rug in the first image and those black glossy mirrors too.  When the fire is lit, this would make a nice seating area to cozy up with guests.

The large arched windows and the printed drapes work for me in the second room too!

What do you think of these two living spaces?  Does logical and orderly work for you? Or do you prefer a little less logic in a space?

Happy Tuesday!

DESIGN IDEA: BOTANICALS ON BLACK!

Love this country home hallway wall lined with 32 pressed botanicals...all framed in black and all on black. Striking I think and a great design idea.  I love the idea of large groupings of botanicals...these little framed studies of plants have a certain elegant and rustic charm - a great form of art!
Perfection!

Happy Monday!

P.S.  Haven't forgotten the Emmy Awards and the dress story.  After making such a big deal of it all...I promise I'll share details about the dress and the experience of going to the Emms in a DESIGN GUIDE video either tomorrow or the next day.  You won't believe what happened by the way!

FASHION FORWARD: HELP ME DECIDE WHICH DRESS TO WEAR TO THE EMMYS!

Photos in this post by Coco of COCOCOZY
Dress option #1 - Carlos Miele navy silk beaded one shoulder gown I bought in Paris last month. (above and below)
Here we go...I'm going to ask a favor of you.  Please help me choose what I wear to the Emmys on Sunday.  I can't figure it out...so I need some help.

As most of you know...only because I've been blabbing about it for the last week...I am going to the Emmy Awards tomorrow!  Woot woot.  I've been three times already.  First time was fun because we sat in row 7; second time was fun too;  and truthfully the third time was so boring that we left the show early and met up with some agents at The Palm across the street until the show was over and the parties started.

So there you have it... my last experience at the Emmys was a bore...not what most of you would expect for a sparkling Hollywood event.  Boring.  That was three years ago  I think...when they had a round stage and lots of hosts or something...I don't really recall.

This year, I am hoping it will be fun.  I think it will be.  I know it will.  I hope.  I've been working everyone I know who is going up to a frenzy about what they will wear and what I will wear to walk the red carpet.  It is all absurd to a certain extent and recognize there are people who have real issues and problems to deal with in the world.  I am not that superficial to only think that my Emmy dress is the most important thing in the world.  But since I am going to the Emmys, I must consider what to wear...I don't think it would be appropriate to walk down the red carpet in my J Brand skinny jeans, some black Prada flats and a long sleeve C&C v neck t-shirt (what I am wearing now).  It might mix things up a bit if I did wear this look down the red carpet.

So here is my little dilemma of the day...which of these two dresses should I wear to the Emmy Awards?

This first one is a silk navy Carlos Miele gown that I bought in Paris last month.  I am nervous about wearing a one shoulder dress.

The second dress is an old Badgley Mischka I have had for years...you can't really tell but it is a substantial black evening gown with a bit of a train and has a bit of a mermaid shape to it.

Dress #2 - Carlos Miele dress detail (above and below)

Dress option #2 - Badgley Mischka gown from my closet. Black with sweetheart neckline, velvet, tulle  and a bow. (above and below)

Cute clutch purse - a beaded Judith Leiber bag I borrowed from my sis DS; I would wear this with Dress option #2. (above)

My Emmy ticket is inside! (above)

Okay...so it is between the Carlos Miele and the Badgley Mischka...I'll tally up your comments and decide what to wear partially based on what you say.  Help.

Just so you know, I am most comfortable in the Badgley Mischka - it is in my comfort zone.  I feel like I need to do something out of my comfort zone though.  Hmmmm....

Look forward to reading your comments.  I leave at about 2PM PST on Sunday for the show...so up until then, I will be checking your comments!

Happy Saturday!

xo
Coco

P.S. Update Sunday morning: Thank you for all of the comments. Running to get my hair done...and still waiting to decide until last minute so any and all feedback is welcome. Have read each and every comment so far...seems the Carlos Miele is coming out slightly ahead in the popular opinion...but it is close so far...I'm hoping the Badgley Mischka gets a few more (LOL!)!  So much fun and so helpful hearing from you all!

P.P.S. Make sure to check out the comments on COCOCOZY Facebook too!

BRIGHT & LIGHT BEDROOM!

I love a beautiful bedroom. Reminds me of all of the sleep I am not getting these days! :-)

This bedroom is wonderfully light and airy.  Blissfully peaceful, perfectly pleasant and nicely appointed.  I like the painted reclaimed wood floors - a little design on the floor in lieu of a rug.  A great shade for the blue upholstered Holly Hunt chair that coordinates well with the Leontine Linens boudoir pillow.

Some people like to have their bedrooms dark and mysterious with no light allowed in...I prefer to wake up to sunlight for some reason.  Morning natural light keeps me cheerful throughout the day. The pitched ceiling makes plenty of room for the iron canopy bed.  1, 2, 3 just like that (or I'm sure with some great thought)...this room is quite cute...good designed!

What do you think of this bedroom?  What might you add or subtract?  Is it too light and bright for you or is it just right?

Happy Thursday!

Coco

P.S. Sorry I didn't blog yesterday...was running around in the morning before work doing COCOCOZY textiles collection work - work before work and work after work...that's been my schedule these days.  We have lots and lots of orders to fill from the New York International Gift Fair and the Atlanta gift show...so I was up to my ears in sorting out fabric, orders and the like early yesterday morning instead of working on a blog post.  So much to do.  I'm enjoying it though.  Really loving the challenge of starting a textiles business from the ground up.  All is good.  Well, to be honest, have been fretting way too much as of late because my web guy has gone MIA and I can't get many of the new pillows on the shop site for you to see and there are a million glitches on the shop site.  Oy.  Any suggestions?  On my web dilemma that is?  Anyone want to give me a crash course in website building (or at least know someone who could help)? Au secours!

P.P.S.  Picking up my #2 dress for the Emmys today.  I have two dress options for the awards show on Sunday when I walk the red carpet and when no one really cares what I wear or look like because there are so many Hollywood stars around.  So while no one will care what I'm wearing, I've still spent every day going back and forth over what to wear.  1st option is an old black Badgley Mischka gown that I bought several years ago...very simple and elegant and has a bit of train.  The second is a new Carlos Miele long gown I bought in Paris last month...it is one shoulder (oy...I've always questioned one shoulder dresses...yet went right out and bought one) and it is navy with sparkles on the one shoulder (oy again...this dress makes me a bit nervous).  What to do?  Will try to get a good shot of the two dresses and tweet them or something on COCOCOZY Twitter.  Will keep you posted!  xo

P.P.P.S.  You might wonder why I have two long dresses for the Emmys...well to make a long story short or in this case a short story long...I own several long gowns actually, and long white kid leather gloves and I even have a long wonderful hunter green opera coat (I don't really know what an opera coat is but it is big enough to wear over a ball gown I was told and is quite lovely...bought it for no reason years ago at Barneys).  My sister thinks I'm totally wacky because I have so many long dresses (at least I don't own a tiara...hmmm...not a bad idea...oh I forgot, I must have at least 5 very sparkling headbands...went through a sparkling headband phase last year...that phase has passed...I mentioned them almost every day on the blog...so I'm sure you are glad that phase passed too...).  Well you never know when prince charming may swing by in tuxedo and ask you to a wonderful black tie event...right?  Better to be prepared.  Forget earthquake preparedness, I am black tie event prepared...horrifying, I know...but it's true.   The good news is the gowns are not going to waste; this year, I've offered several of my gowns out to some of the other girls at work who don't have anything to wear to the Emmys...so far, someone has taken me up on a blue Vivienne Tam chiffon dress...am bringing in a Monique L'Huillier today for someone else to try.  Need prince charming in the tux to appear soon before I lend out all of my dresses and don't have a thing to wear. Oh my!

P.P.P.P.S.  Was spell checking this post and saw that I said the word "oy" three times.  Ooops now that is four.  Oy. Five.  I like the word oy (six)...it encompasses so many things...it is a combo between yikes, uh oh, and oh no all together but with a hint more of clever sarcasm to it.  I like.  Have been overusing it though lately. Oy.  Seven.   Note to self, expand vocabulary.  Hee hee.  xo

P.P.P.P.P.S. I recognize this P.S. section is a bit out of control...but who says the P.S. can't be longer than the "S"? Maybe I'm a writing and grammar trailblazer with this? Maybe I've invented something? Hmmm.... Oy. Eight.

THIS OR THAT: TWO GORGEOUS BATHROOM FLOORS!

Today's THIS OR THAT has me stumped. Two bathrooms. Two floors with black/grey design. Two different looks. One classic. On eclectic international.

I love the marble mosaic floor in this fully marble neoclassical like bath.  The overall bathroom design oozes tradition and elegance.

Then there is the bathroom below with the bold tiled floor - Moroccan inspired I think.  Great floor. Love this look with the teardrop lighting and the gray wood planked walls.

This segment is called THIS OR THAT...so I have to pick one...hmmmm...

Okay...I'm going to have to go with the first photo.   I think I could live with the floor in that bath longer.  I think.  (I do however love the floor and styling and the details in the second bathroom too.  I would do this bath if I had a second home.)

Which is your favorite?  I must know.  Please comment below!

Happy Tuesday!
