INDOOR DINING ROOM WITH AN OUTDOOR FEEL!
I love this dining room. I do. An indoor room with an outdoor feel. I think it's the architecture that makes this room feel like it is out in the open - the cobblestone like paver tiles covering the floor and the high ceilings make it seem like this dining area is set on a sidewalk on an old east coast town. The tall manicured ficus trees added on either side of the room make this space feel like it is set outside. I like.
There is also something very classic but simple about the decor...the octagon shaped wood table, the antique looking white chairs with carved bird wings and the large metal planters. No frills. Not fancy. Very elegant and understated I think.
I do wonder though...where the light comes from at night...no chandelier or lighting fixtures in view from these angles...hmmm...I wonder...
What do you think of this dining room? Like...dislike? Do tell. Do you like the cobblestone like flooring? Please weigh in below in the comments section.
Happy Wednesday!

Is this really indoors? Love it. Good question about the lighting. Maybe they just do candle light? How sublime would that be?
ReplyDeletelove Haynes Roberts work. They are a very talented team!
ReplyDeleteI love it but think the room could handle a larger scaled table. Looks like six chairs. I think the table could be bigger with the option for 8 seats.
ReplyDeleteLove this dinning room! Love the tiled floor! Love the plants! This room can be a very romantic place at night with lots of candle lights, some red wine, some nice music and people who appreciate the atmosphere of course. :-)
ReplyDeleteI do love the cobblestones but just couldn't do it personally.
ReplyDeleteBut the exposed beams are OMG beautiful. I think I spy a kitchen island in the room to the left and I would like to see more. I agree the scale of the furniture seems a bit wrong for the space, But I would still welcome that room in my house regardless.
love to get an invite to dine there.
ReplyDeleteit really looks like a courtyard space.

Absolutely beautiful and inviting!!! Agree with your lighting question, not sure how anyone would see at night!
